Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)

An Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), also known as a First Responder, is a person trained to provide out-of-hospital care in medical emergencies. This individual uses a limited amount of equipment and posses the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide lifesaving interventions while awaiting additional EMS response and to assist higher level personnel at the scene and during transport. The course is designed to prepare you for the National Registry Exam at the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) level.
