Rope Rescue Level I
This 40 Hour course is designed for basic rope rescue techniques and understanding. Topics covered include: team organization and terminology, scene size up, hazard assessment, ICS, rope and hardware usage and maintenance, anchor pints, knots, rigging, belays, rappelling, self-rescue, pickoffs, basic raising and lowering systems and patient packaging.This course meets the Level 1 Chapter 6 requirements and applicable portions of Chapter 5 of NFPA 1006, Standard for Technical Rescuer Professional Qualifications, as well as Chapter 5 of NFPA 10670, Standard on Operations and Training for Technical Rescue Incidents.
Requirements:
*Student shall be in good physical condition
*Students shall bring helmet, work boots, fitted work style gloves, eye protection and weather appropriate clothing.
