The purpose of the course is to provide information, data, and resources necessary to meet the Job Performance Requirements for fire investigation defined by NFPA 1033, 2014 edition and NFPA 921, 2021 edition.

This Fire Investigation course is a 100-hour course, designed to incorporate online learning, in the fields hands-on experience, and in classroom learning experience. You will meet in person once a month and the remaining course is online.

The class is designed as the complete initial education training for fire and arson investigators. This course is also designed to help you understand and help prepare a future foundation in courtroom testimony as an expert witness in a fire investigation case.

Notes:

Students will meet on the 28th of July 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm for Info Session, meet & greet as well as expectations. Students should expect homework for online classes. If you have any questions, please contact Director of Public Safety @ sdavis@auburncc.org.
