Emergency Medical Technician

The Emergency Medical Technician program prepares students to provide basic emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients. Emergency Medical Technicians function as part of a comprehensive EMS response under medical oversight. Emergency Medical Technicians perform interventions with the basic equipment typically found on an ambulance. The Emergency Medical Technician is a link from the scene to the emergency health care system. Successful completion of the program allows you to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification examination. Our Emergency Medical Technician Program is accredited by the Ohio Division of EMS and meets the National EMT Curriculum. An additional 32 hours clinical time is required. Additional fees may apply for immunizations, fingerprints and certification testing. ODPS #302 This program is also available to students who would like to simultaneously earn their high school equivalency.
