Prerequisites

Prior to enrolling in CNC Operations, you must have completed the specified prerequisites (if you have not taken a prerequisite, you can click on the catalog code link to see a list of upcoming course sections):

Machining II

Topics in machining including advanced machining math topics, geometric dimensioning and tolerances, dimensional gauging, precision measuring tools, advanced cutting tools and processes, milling operations and turning operations. Prerequisite: Manual Machining I or equivalent work experience based upon an evaluation by our program instructors. Certification: 10-Hour OSHA General Industry

Machining I

A comprehensive course designed to provide the skills needed for an entry-level position in manufacturing and machining trades. Topics include safety, blueprint reading, machining math, quality assurance, tolerances, geometric dimensioning, machine maintenance, machining operations, turning (lathe) processes, and milling processes. Certification: 10-Hour OSHA General Industry Certification
